A 1:1 scale visual mockup for exterior deck bench furniture. Designed by Norman Foster for a residence being constructed on his Martha’s Vineyard property. The VMU was built to test lighting, material proportions, comfort and strength. The VMU has a track cut into the back lathe to fit a LED module for back and floor lighting.
